Hi everyone!
My name is Anders, and i am a programmer from Copenhagen, Denmark.
I play the guitar, and currently I am building a rehearsal room / music studio in a Shelter beneath the ground close to my home. I decided to install Ubuntu Studio on the Studio Computer, as i am using Ubuntu at home allready. The installation went fine, but now I have a lot of JACK/ALSA/PULSE... related problems, and while googling for tutorials and guides for linux audio configuration, i came across this forum. I look forward to share my experienses and knowledge, as well as the inevitable frustrations with everyone in here!

welcome. Ubuntu did not a very good job in implementing pulseaudio, but I think the next version JAunty will be better. I didn't have problems with pulseaudio when using 64studio 3.0 beta, based on Ubuntu LTS

I also have a bunch of other reasons to not recommend Ubuntu for audio, not evern Ubuntu Studio.. You're better off with 64Studio like studio32 said (though I've not tested 3.0, so I don't know how it will perform now that it's Ubuntu-based)
