JACK not recognizing my M-Audio Fast Track Ultra

Hey!

I've recently installed Ubuntu Studio on my laptop, but I'm having difficulties and confusions in getting my Fast Track Ultra to work with it.

In the windows part of my computer it records fine, four tracks simultaneously, so I know the issue isn't with the unit.

It seems as if Ubuntu doesn't recognize that the FTU has four audio outputs. When I simply run Ardour and begin recording, tracks 1 and 2 from the FTU each record separately. However, Patchage tells me that it's running through the system not my FTU. The other two tracks are completely ignored. Moreover, JACK refuses to acknowledge the FTU's audio, despite seeing the two MIDI outputs.

Any ideas how I can set this up?
