Freeverb

Post by funkmuscle »

Hey, do anyone know how to make a gui for freeverb3?
http://freeverb3.sourceforge.net/

I love jconv and guitarix but I need something that can load the reverb IR files and adjust the settings from the gui instead of editing the jconv conf file.
The developer as usual made a vst for Billy's Windows but no ladspa for Linux. I've asked him if any plans on a gui for Linux and never got a reply.

Is freeverb better than Gverb or something? Because I know that Gverb works alright in Audacity and in Ardour.

dunno if it's better. can you load impulse response files with GVerb?
Freeverb3 let's you load IR files of different reverbs which are freely available on the net.

where do you get GVerb from??

I don't really know much about Freeverb. I just thought that they both just made reverb. :D

Jconv is awesome but we're waiting for Aella which is the interface for jconv.

brummer added jconv to guitarix which gives it an interface but still no real control without editing the jconv conf file. And to boot, no one really know how to adjust the conf files.
I've searched the net and that seems to be the question, "how to edit the conf files?"
Plus while mixing, do you have time to stop the mix, edit the conf file, relaod it and then hope it's the right fix?
An interface is what we need. The Freeverb3 devs look like they made the app for linux but chose to interface it with a VST plugin.

hey brummer, haven't heard from you for sometime....
jconv interface on guitarix works amazingly for guitar IR files because we just load the files.

for reverb, I need controls for it to adjust these:
in out gain delay offset length chan file

on the fly... I mean sliders for: in out gain delay offset length chan file

to be able to control the amount of reverb without have to edit the file...
That's what I think aella will do. Just like the freeverb3 vst plugin...
I've tried the freeverb3 vst. it works but cpu hog....

oh, thatx for the resampler on jconv because I had IR files for guitar that didn't sound good before but after resampling, wow!!!
