compact midi controller w/ keyboard + knobs + pads

Post by Jiyunatori »

Hey there. As the title suggests, I'm thinking of buying a Midi controller with the specs mentionned. My price range is 100-200€, preferably 100-150€. And of course, it has to be 100% linux compatible.

I saw the M-Audio Axiom 25, which seems to have what I'm looking for. But does anyone have another suggestion ?

By the way, when I say "compact", I mean something around 25 keys, normal size.

This one seems to have similar specs to what you are looking for: http://www.zzounds.com/item--MIMOXYGEN8
I don't know if the knobs work in linux (I asked in this forum and got no answer) but a similar model without knobs (the m-audio keyrig) is reported to work perfectly.

I've got a Novation Remote SL 25 and the keys are the best of any keyboard (midi controller or otherwise) that I've felt. If you can find it refurbished and clearance like I did, you can get it around 200-250, the Remote Compact is even cheaper. I've yet to get the nobs, pads, XY, and faders working in Linux :(

Current Rig: Dell Vostro 1520, Arch Linux, Novation Remote25SL, and my trusty guitar.
