powercore on linux.
hello everyone. i'm in the process of creating a new studio with linux as a more reliable os. i'm a logic pro user but macs machines are defective (G5'S). i have a motu 828mkII firewire and a powercore pci. somebody knows if i can use powercore within ardour and how can i make it work? thanks a lot for your attention...
Re: powercore on linux.
It is not and will never be possible to use the Powercore in Linux. Same for all the other DSP based
gear (UAD, Duende, CW Scope ...)
Since none of the vendors wants to write drivers/plugins for linux, nor give others the information needed
to do so, you either have to forget about them or linux.
Sorry

Re: powercore on linux.
it's a shame! well i guess i'll forget about linux until dsp cards look at linux as a more serious os. in the meantime lets record multiple drum tracks in ardour and see how it works. tascam x-48 uses its own os. based on unix as well...
