Short soundtrack

Post by etienne »

Hi all!

First of all, I would like to apologise for not being on this forum for such a long time. My postgraduate program at university got busy, so I barely even touched my guitar or got to a piano, and stopped writing music for quite a while.

However, I would like to come back with a bang, with this short track I made for a marketing video. It's meant to be lively and aimed at teenagers. The video has already been used, so here is the track. Any comments and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! It was made on Ubuntu 11.10 with Rosegarden, Ardour, JACK (of course!), FluidSynth and WhySynth.

OGG version: http://ubuntuone.com/3FeKx24bXcn52beuPXsPMG
MP3 version: http://ubuntuone.com/2TlTGOmFt3tyTUM47ShHZD

(The video is under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License.)

Best of luck,
Etienne

I liked it too. I never really cared for WhySynth, but some of the sounds you used were pretty good. I'll have to try WhySynth again and see if I can't learn to love it a little.

Thanks for the feedback. It was my first attempt at some sort of electronic music, but hopefully soon I'll have a better track out.
