[Request] Streaming with FFMPEG + JACK

I would like to set up a live stream of my Linux audio work (e.g. on twitch.tv or justin.tv). However, I tried all sorts of system reconfiguration, and ffmpeg just seems way too xrun prone. My soundcard also seems to have persistent issues with the ALSA-JACK loopback thingy that Thorgal posted. (Unfortunately, it is an HDA card.)

Has anyone had any success setting up a live stream, either with JACK audio or ALSA loopback? Can you do it on a system that has a non-HDA sound card?

I've tried all sorts of reconfigurations (and I do mean all sorts), but the stream only seems to work properly (with JACK audio) when I'm only streaming audio; otherwise, it glitches majorly.

This is an older thread, but I have the same problem.
And I don't even know how to tell ffmpeg to use the loopback device, only tried it with JACK directly. Does not work well.
