Hey guys, sorry if this is the wrong forum. Seemed like the most logical one to post this.
I have a Digitech RP500 modeling processor. It has a USB audio interface which works 100% with linux. I can record and listen to music with PulseAudio.
I was hearing about gx_head for a while now so I wanted to test it. I installed jack2 with qjackctl. Set it up to 20ms (see attachment for other settings) and run the server. My problem is I can see all the connections but when I connect "capture" to "playback" I don't get any sound. I know there is signal because the VU meter on gx_head moves as I play. The only sound I get is the hardware processed sound.
What I need is to disable the hardware processing and monitor the sound processed in the computer.
So If anyone here is experienced with Digitech RP series please let me know.
Thanks.

Have you check the alsamixer settings (open either gnome-terminal or Konsole or xterm depending in your desktop environment and type "alsamixer") to see if they are unmuted?
(Disregard my post. I thought the sound card being muted is an issue, but I'm not sure about that.)

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying.cb951303 wrote:I can see all the connections but when I connect "capture" to "playback" I don't get any sound. I know there is signal because the VU meter on gx_head moves as I play. The only sound I get is the hardware processed sound.
Do you mean you do get the 'wet' sound (going from capture -> gx_head -> playback) but not the 'dry' sound (which you try to get by directly connecting capture -> playback)?
