I'm not a very good english speaker (or writer...), but i'm gonna try to explain me. I hope you can understand me most...
I used to use Musix and AV Linux; but now I was trying KXStudio in Ubuntu, and I was very happy whit it; but sometimes I started to miss some simple audio settings of Ubuntu (like the simple master volume control or the audio prevews or the default audio players working easy).
So,when I make a clean install from Ubuntu 11.04 to 11.10 I took time to make some new re-order with partitions in my hard disk: first, I try to install two partitions, one with Ubuntu for all my common work (graphic and web design, text edit, web browsing, watch some films, listen to music, chat...), and other with Kubuntu+KXStudio for all my audio work, and a shared user /home folder... It dosen't work, because some important cofigurations are installed in the user /home... So I still having the same problem (KXStudio destroy my Ubuntu native audio configuration).
Next, I re-install my Ubuntu (just one partition for OS and /home in other) and I create two users, one for audio (+KXstudio) and other for all the other works. But still not working, when I install KXStudio my simple audio configuraction of Ubuntu just dispear... It is extremely frustrating.
There's some way to uninstall KXStudio in one user and leave it working in the other? Can I have this configuration iin just one partition? or necessary to make two partitions for OS and two / home folders?

Life will be much easier with just 2 partitions, root, and home, / and /home
and just 2 users, root, and you, (or sudo and you, if using ubuntu.)

I would study the apps in kx studio, to see which ones you really want/need.
You may be able to install them manually, without needing the whole package.
The extra complexity must be weighed with the functionality, and choices made.
Installing a large and purposed software collection, should be studied for its merits,
and pitfalls.

If you keep a simple stable system, you can still test the latest greatest new things
on external drive installations. You should have a drive for backups anyway. Installing on usbsticks
also helps. There are several 400 meg distros that are a good basis to build a
media player/portable-office setup, choosing the device from your computers
early boot menu.

Well, apparently the problem have been solved. It was a group problem. Hispasonic user Pablo_f, kindly gave me the keys to find the solution to the issue.
Aparently, for some reason KXStudio do not put users into the audio group (a problem I remember when some users migrated to Karmic and they had no audio output), so simply add the no-audio user (in my case the user with Unity) to the audio group with the following command: Reboot and it's done. Now I have two users, one in Unity, for general use, and another in Gnome for audio tasks
