Interface with minimum 20 Outs (Saffire?)

Post by Troubadix »

Hi all,

I soon will need an interface which has at least 20 outs (ins are not such important). I prefer very much firewire. As I see at the ffado website the only one, that got so much outs and is full supported is the saffire pro 26 I/O.

Well, as it seems it's not produced anymore and no shop offers it. On ebay sometimes you find one. So my question: Does anybody have experience with this device and is it really full supported by ffado? There are a lot of problems reported and if I buy it on ebay I may not give it a try and send it back if it doesn't work. And how much would you think is an adequate price for a used Saffire Pro 26 I/O?

Or maybe anybody knows another device which has at least 20 outputs?

thanks and greets

Don't really understand, what you want to tell me. Is this just advertisement? Or do you think, that rme works well? The firefaces are defenitely not supported by ffado and the hammerfall is not a firewire-interface. So: What exactly is your recommendation?
