I cannot tell you about the vocal harmony processor but I can tell you about the mic. I use a condenser mic manufactured by AKG, a C414 B XL II, designed for voices and acoustic instruments such as a guitar. It's really a good mic, for the price it competes with the big names out there. I can only recommend it. There are other C414 models, but this one is really for singers. My plan, when money allows, is to acquire one more, and the C414 B XLS stereo set for more general purposes. Now, I am talking about home recording. For stage stuff, you want a dynamic mic. I have an Audix OM5, which is good. The OM6 or OM7 may be better, I have not tried them.
