Hi all!
for nearly 7 years I have been working with my Athlon900/creative soundblaster live! set. But 3 ys ago I switched to opensuse for my desktop. From that on I did not have an audio/midi-workstation. Last month I decided to mount my old creative soundblaster live PCI-card into the linux box and see what happens... (my midi-keyboard is a 17 ys old Yamaha Clavinova: the mechanics are superb, it works as well as on the first day!)
Now I'm up and running with rosegarden (which I do prefer), lmms, soundfonts, hydrogen, qjackctl and - yes - there is sound! Under Windows I was using cubasis vst and musiccreator and I know it is also there a long travel to get everything working, so I'm willing to spend some time on linux (and - honestly - this will be future!).
My first post: maybe a question from where to get midi-drumpatterns ...
see you

Re: Hi from Austria
My sister used Finale 2008, so I used some patterns from that app
DuckDuckGo it and afaik there are commercial patterns available to.
edit: btw I use impro-visor now as backing track http://www.cs.hmc.edu/~keller/jazz/improvisor/
