HighC is Thomas Baudel's implementation of ideas first developed in the UPIC system of the composer Iannis Xenakis. It's a graphic composition system - the drawings are associated with selected sounds and envelopes, and the drawings can be auditioned at any time. A composition is typically built piece by piece, but HighC includes many tools to make the process quite fast.

Commercial software, requires Java.
