yea, there is room for improvement, but I can only add it to the todo list at the moment. Otherwise, like I mention on top of this thread, guitarix is a open Source project, focused on the meaning of "open", so if anyone will join the development team, he/she is welcome to add some improvements.
And you are not limited in the amount of presets
Good to hear that you like it, yea, we could add some more tube models now, because Andreas have create a nice python script (look in the /tools directory) witch could produce tube tables from the factory spec's of tubes. Those tables we use to emulate the tube effect. It's funny, it's a bit like spice -> http://www.normankoren.com/Audio/Tubemo ... ticle.html

funkmuscle wrote:hey brummer, same idea as what Ken was talking about from acmebargig. Poulin and Ken collaborate a lot on their VSTs.
I like the lastest svn version with the ability to choice between tubes...

if that emulates tubes, you can now make a complete head, the preamp tubes and power amp tubes...
any plans on doing so with guitarix/gx_head, etc.?
Or are you making another head from guitarix?
Merry Christmas or happy whatever you celebrate at this time of year.

"Show tooltips" enables tooltips when you put the mouse on a knob or something else. It works here. However, being in the "About" tab I agree that one could expect that something is showed. Maybe "Enable tooltips" and/or move it to "Options" would be less confusing? In the About menu neither the Show Tooltips nor the Help items do anything. Am I missing something or are those items broken ?
Cheers! Pablo

So okay, I have add a combobox to the jconv settings widget, therewith you can switch IR-files fast. Simply scroll up/down or popup the menu will give full access to all wav files in folder. Choose one and press "apply" to be done.prokoudine wrote:But what if you have heaps of IR files collected over the years?brummer wrote:For fast switching the IR-files best is to save your settings in presets, those you can switch with midi commands (Program change), with numeric key's (1-9) or with picture-up / down.
So you only need the file browser when you wone switch the path.

Well, you are right, it's already done in latest SVN.
I don't know in the moment, witch direction it goes, but first I wone complete gx_head.funkmuscle wrote:if that emulates tubes, you can now make a complete head, the preamp tubes and power amp tubes...

So, now I have add a third tube model to gx_head, the 6V6 power amp tube, this one comes with very heavy spikes, best use with distortion unit in pre-sector, and tone-stack model JCM-2000 / M-Lead or M2199.funkmuscle wrote:if that emulates tubes, you can now make a complete head, the preamp tubes and power amp tubes...

I know... updated last night and compared it to VSTs and I have to say we have a winner in gx_head...
keep up the great work... in fact, I was about to post this at your forum.

Great you like it
I will release gx_head in short, so if you experience a prob/bug, let me know. Also, if you would send me presets for inclusion, please do it in short.
