Does anybody knows about problems with M-audio delta pci cards and recent motherboards (mainbords) or not?

Aside from the fact that it's getting really difficult to find anything with PCI slots I haven't heard of any problems.

Is RME the only company that makes a really good PCIe card that works well with Linux?

yes it does. the driver is under development - not perfect @ the moment but \o/
