Duplex mode not working with Lexicon Omega
Hello,
I am new to that linux music stuff. I bought a Lexicon Omega after checking the alsa wiki for supporting it.
Now I have the problem that I only could play OR record, so no duplex possible so far.
I used qjackctl to make the jackd settings. For the Omega three hardware addresses showed up:
1. hw1
2. hw1,0
3. hw1,1
where hw0,0 is input and hw0,1 is output. Jack is only starting if the default device is 2. OR 3.. If I mixed them in the setting as input and output device, jackd is not starting with a "broken pipe" messsage.
Any ideas?
thanks

Why do you wann use diferent cards for input and output?jeeshari wrote:Hello,

just choose the omega in "interface" and let the rest "default"

Thanks AutoStatic for the hint, but I already read this post several times.AutoStatic wrote:http://forum.linuxmusicians.com/viewtop ... f=6&t=2622
My problem is, that input and output are working but not at the same time. I dunno if merging the two hardware addresses makes any sense here, but I will give it a try.
@Capoeira: I dont want to use two different cards, in my example hw1 is the Omega with hw1,1 for the output and hw1,0 for the input.
I will post the aplay and arecord info as I am at home.
thanks !

Hello jeeshari, no need to merge anything as osterchrisi already found out that it doesn't work.
Re: Duplex mode not working with Lexicon Omega
Mh, so no need to waste more time on this? I guess, I will send it back and purchase a m-audio fast track pro.
thanks anyway!

Re: Duplex mode not working with Lexicon Omega
Fast Track Pro doesn't work ootb either afaik.
iirc the Lexicon could work if you'd set a fixed number of inputs and outputs (4 I think).

Re: Duplex mode not working with Lexicon Omega
okay, with a fixed input of 2 the Omega is working in duplex mode. Anyway, 2 more a missing.
the output of aply -l
Thanks a lot

Maybe this helps a bit: http://ardour.org/node/1449#comment-9487
Doesn't say anything about duplex though. I'm not familiar with this card, would love to get my hands on one though just to get it going
