That's a nicely produced/created song. The sounds are well balanced in the headphones, and the lyrics manage to present many relatable cliche's. I'd like to hear a more intense version. It feels like you could really cut loose, but didn't, because you were intent on a precise recording. An understandable predicament that all musicians face. Nice to hear a new Ubuntu-based production!
Cheers

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback.

When you say cut loose, do you mean guitar solo, vocals or something else?
I find recording one track at a time makes it challenging to capture the energy that you get with a roomful of musicians.

I agree, multi-tracking poses difficulties. Keeping energy, and recording when the energy exists, is a challenge. I think the vocal is more laid-back than the situation that the lyrics present. The vocal needs to present the intensity suggested by the lyrics. If this girl is so very desirable, there needs to be competitive energy for a successful pursuit. Back when dating was a thing, one had to bring the A game, because competition was just a glance or a phonecall away  I would like some crunch and edge on the guitar sounds, as they have a similar communicative mission to the vocals. Hope that makes sense.
Cheers

Seems I can't listen to this without a spotify account - not going to happen.
