Mackie Control Universal control surface on ZOOM R16 not working after starting REAPER

I connected a ZOOM R16 to REAPER with a Mackie Control Universal, but after starting REAPER,
it did not seem to be enabled and could not be operated.
However, after disconnecting and reconnecting the MIDI port in question, it seems to be operable.

What should I do to make it operable from the beginning without reconnecting?
It can be a JACK setting, a REAPER setting, or a shell script. Ideas are welcome.
Environment:
- OS: Arch Linux x86_64
- Kernel: 6.8.2-arch2-1
- WM: sway
- reaper 7.12-1
- pipewire-jack 1:1.0.4-3
- pipewire 1:1.0.4-3

Oddly enough, it seems to work for ALSA (device name: default).

Maybe there is no inconvenience with pipewire. I will try to operate with this for a while.

ALSA does not seem to be able to have multiple inputs and outputs.
Hopefully those will be available in JACK from the get-go.
