Bipscript is a scripting language for interactive music. Features include APIs for audio plugin hosting, MIDI sequencing and OSC control.
Version 0.20.1 is now out and includes support for the FLTK toolkit to create scripts that include a GUI. Here is a simple virtual control surface in 50 lines of code:

Note the FLTK support comes in the form of a shared library that must also be installed. Packages are now available for current Ubuntu LTS versions: https://www.bipscript.org/install.html
