I'm a long time user in Linux and Music Production in Linux.
Still using an old Ubuntu Studio fork from 2018.
Since it's now 2024, I just thought about how to have a brand new Linux Studio up to date
Can anyone tell me what's there and what's recommended?

AV Linux (now based on Linux MX)
and UbuntuStudio
both have new versions out.
Else there is KX Studio, you might add on top of a debian or a ubuntu (or based on them).
And then there is Librazik, Debian based, but it is still on the actual debian-old-stable (on the other hand it offers a massive amount of audio apps).
More i don't know.
I for one prefer Librazik. As you already used UbuntuStudio, it seems like a good choice.

I should add:
I don't plan to buy a new Computer as long as the current runs fine.
My preferred Audio-MIDI-Sequenzer is Qtractor and I'm using mostly .sf2 sound files via CALF Fluidsynth.
This is caused by my preferred musical style to compose: Symphonic and Orchestral Music.
I have lots of .sf2 files containing waves from real orchestral instruments.
Since I have almost 2 days of Symphonic Music composed and there's already many templates that I use to start up Qtractor, there will be a need to have CALF Fluidsynth running fine in that new OS.
Here's an Album that I created for the aunt of my girlfriend as a birthday gift.
I don't feel ashamed to give my music away for birthdays etc.

You should have no issues with Qtractor on current AV Linux or UbuntuStudio versions. I'm not positive about the state of any of the Calf plugins, though it is installed on my AV Linux box: I use Ardour and its bundled a-fluidsynth plugin for sf2 files.
