So, no copyright infringment, probably just EULA violation then, if today's EULA still has:
"Sound produced by Pianoteq can only be distributed within a musical context, and not in forms that allow the sounds to be used as sample based instruments or sample libraries."
It's a funny clause. Does a computer program produce sound? If I hit a drum, am I producing the sound or is the drum?
If I record a melody with Pianoteq then a third party samples it for an instrument, I've both complied with and broken that EULA.
My plan to make a car alarm sound with Pianoteq is off the table?
