Tiny hardware controller for MMC?

I'd like to have a tiny keyboard, e.g. the size of a pocket calculator or smaller, with keys for essential MMC commands like start, stop, pause, forward, rewind.
I know I can use Qmidictl but then I have no hardware keys.
Is there a small device for the desk like some programmable foot switches?
EDIT: Korg nanoKONTROL would be fine if there weren't those faders that occupy space.
