I got this unit mainly for karaoke but I thought I'd see how it performs as a USB audio interface.

I'm using Ardour and managing the connections in Catia.

The problem is, it's stuck on maximum gain. Reducing the mic sens helps but then I can't hear the effects. I've adjusted the faders, added a limiter, reduced the volume on the device itself to no avail. Straight into the red even at a fair distance from the mic.

Anyone have any experience with this, or suggestions?

So apparently the device gets recognized but the channels are wrong and hard to configure. Could you post the output of aplay -l with the device attached?
