Hi all, I'm excited to release my largest project to date. 11 tracks, I'd call it an ambient concept album with a dash of vaporwave and synthwave inspiration. I had concepts, outlines, partially written out songs/music for this project going back 4 years and I finally decided to resurrect some of that old stuff into a more focused effort. Still have a good bit of unused material I may include in later projects to come, but it felt good to find usage in old stuff I thought I would end up wasting. At the very least I hope my writing/editing/etc. etc. has improved over past projects. Love this community!!

Hi, I like 'Rooftop With You', a very nice choice of sounds, and enjoyable music.
You might try starting the song at around 1 min 28 seconds, where it has a nice build going on,
and appending the first minute and 27 seconds to conclude the song?
In 'Stay Like This Forever', I would start the song at 2 minutes, to defeat the waning
attention spans of the masses, as you already make good use of those nice pads to conclude the song.
It has a nice intrigue building, and enjoyable instrument choices.
I love the intro to 'Losing In The City Of Love'. I might choose some hand conga kit for the percussion,
to blend more with the smooth music, and it could be fun to play that off the rhythms of the bassline.
I live in a rough area, and during 'Rainy Nights', I had to check where the sirens were
It's good to be excited about your music
Cheers

Thanks for the feedback! @glowrak guy yeah I have a habit of writing long intros...while I do feel they add to the overall "storytelling" I agree that I'd lose the audience if I utilize that too often. I appreciate you calling that out, it's something I'll take away and try to improve upon
.
Also a nice suggestion adding congas to "Losing..."; I'm not much of a percussion person myself so that's an area of my writing that I think can continue to improve. Funny enough I actually had lyrics that I debated adding. I decided not to because I felt like it'd be sort of out of place since all the other tracks are instrumental. I might re-release this track on its own with lyrics just to see how it lands.
I had a lot of fun with "Rainy Nights" lol - I originally wanted to try and add more ambient sounds (like the rain and sirens and stuff) to other tracks but I sort of got away from it during the composition stages.
I used LMMS for "composing" and Ardour for the mixing and EQ'ing. I've really had a great time using LMMS over the last 5 years or so; it doesn't have a lot of the features or functionality that a lot of other tools have but there's something about it that allows the creative juices to flow for me

really enjoyed this
A great mixture of styles and real sounding with synthesised ones.
