Dark Hope - Help me define the genre
Hi, I don't follow trends too much and I don't care much about musical genres but, out of curiosity, how would you define this track?

Great track! Everytime an expectation in that song grew, there came a surprising turn. I really like it. To me, i could not throw it into a certain genre - maybe Dark Hope Core ![]()
Great track! Dark indeed. I've heard some similar styles in dark ambient somewhere between the ritual and industrial sub genres.
Nice one! Is it a yewtu.be bug that your tracks always start off, and end, with some 10s of a different track? Or is that your artistic vision? You never know these days :)
I would have liked that bassy orchestral sweep (?) to have a bit more low frequency power. Otherwise a fantastic track.
Edit: oh yeah, genre. Soundscape? Soundtrack-in-search-of-a-movie?

Not sure about youtube, replaced with standard link.
For the orchestral sound, there are already 2 bass sounds so something had to be sacrificed.
Thanks.
Interesting track but youtube really sucks on older browsers ![]()
Palemoon
It's very lightweight and flies on decent HTML sites, but slows to a crawl when hit with all the junk youtube throws at it before even starting the vid.
I always transform youtube.com/.... into yewtu.be/.... in links on this forum. Works most of the time. That's an Invidious front end to youtube.
Well done! How often did Ardour crash during the production? The mix is also very good. I think this can be considered as film music.
I think the track could be a bit more consistent by reducing it a bit. I would through out the piano sounds for example and maybe rearrange the track somewhat.

Hi and tanks ! As far I remember not crash at all. Nowaday for me Ardour is very stable. I know, my tracks are a bit repetitive and usually with the same structure. I always try to add some variations in the second half but with mixed results... ![]()
