Nice. I love the hihats.

Hope you can hear the effect of ReFine. I couldn't when I tried. :?

I noticed that Ardour users prefer repeating drum samples instead of using a (drum-)sampler plugin and a MIDI track. Is this a result of Ardour's "could be better"-MIDI-editor?

Well.. it depends. Sometimes I use multiple track with samplv1 sampler, sometimes Lsp-multisampler with multi out. Sadly, a good multi sampler with multi out is missing (in the open source world at least..).

Thanks,
Daniele.

Nice way to use video for multiple purposes! I like the keyboardist layered beneath the daw/tools walkthru.
The song is also mixed well, and the parts don't compete with each other. A longer version with some solos would be 8) cool 8)
Cheers

Finding titles and suitable material for videos are my nightmares !

Thanks,
Daniele.

I like the mid-90s vibe and bassline. Very cool rhythm! :D

I haven't used KdenLive much, but I have been impressed with what I have been able to do with it. I love how your video shows all the tracks that make up the song, combined with the image and the keyboard playing. Pretty impressive amount of work on the song. So far, I've really only used Ardour for recording live instruments/vocals; LMMS seems to work better for me when making MIDI/electronic tracks. I'm still familiarizing myself with this software.

Yep, Kdenlive is a very good software. Some performance issues on the timeline even using proxy clip but always usable.

I restarted making music around 2015 (after 16 year of nothing..) with Lmms. I like it a lot but the 1.2 version is too limited. Will see the next one. I miss the pattern editor !

Daniele.

Yeah, good track. I just think that (808?) snare sound does the track a disservice.

(what's my issue with snaredrums today....?)

Well.. the idea was to shake a bit the listener. Maybe I did it in the wrong way..

In my opinion, the 808 snare inherently sounds flat, dead, and bland. Not much one can do about it I think, except for not using it:)
