I don't know if you know the Smasher software, but it's very well suited for getting results like what Lali Puna (from their classic Faking the Books album, they just released a new album btw which is excellent also) or James Yuill (AMAZING song btw, one of my current faves) are doing.
Hey, I just listened to Lali Puna. I must say I very much like it and that is it typically the kind of song I'd like to make.
As for smasher, I guess I really should give a try one day. I'm basically doing the same thing in Ardour by cut/pasting but I guess smasher is much more suited and as more options.
Thanks for the tips !

Then you should also check out the rest of the Morr roster: http://www.morrmusic.com/artist/all/
Personally I'm a big fan of bands like The Go Find, The Wooden Birds and The American Analog Set and I also have records lying around from Icebreaker International, Isan and Couch. Lali Puna is closely related to The Notwist who are considered as the founders of "indietronic".

Thank you.
Hey, glad you could finally get a chance to hear it.
And glad you liked it
I'm new to the site and just now looking over older posts, so excuse the late comments Very nice job! Ethereal sound really works. And I like how you break it down to basics once again in the middle and build it up once more. A good listen!
