Having grandkids and their dogs showing up, is tons of fun. I picked out songs for the album I think would be fun for pre-teens, nothing scary or ominous, and maybe the oldsters who have now graduated hi-skrool into higher ed or the work force can chill out for a few moments. It's Called 'Mesonic Escapade', 20 instrumental songs around 4 hours 20 minutes, and might be a good temporary diversion from the harsh adult realities in our situations.
Proceeds will go to the gofundme pages of the Jeremy Baldwin and Bethany Gurgone families. Both families lost everything in the Lahaina Maui fires, with only their escape vehicles, children, and desparation grabs. Each fund has reached the halfway point, and hopefully won't slow down until surpassed. Based on their interviews with Eric West, these are pretty rugged people!
Hope you find some songs worth hearing twice.

Cool music, fresh taste from experiments with arpeggios and sounds... Excellent work, congratulations for album realize!
Imho: in my opinion, many tracks are pretty long in duration, which, due to the lack of transforming of musical themes, I think is unnecessary, it could be shortened by 2-4 times, within reasonable limits.
Otherwise, everything is fine, the impression of the music is positive, light magic energy is in abundance, perhaps I would add a solo track somewhere

Hi, you are right about the long length. The reasons are varied, but I want people to have peaceful or energetic, and uninterupted background music. I hope they even are nice to de-stress, take a nap, play along with, or fall asleep with for the evening. There are worlds of great 3 and 4 minute popular songs, that are released with the creator's purposes in mind, and if someone likes one of my songs that's 10 or 20 minutes long, I won't be offended if they only listen to the first few minutes
Thanks much for your several nice and accurate comments. I released another album this morning, 'Almost Home'. I love the title song, and the last song, and even those trapped in the middle

Cheers

Thanks for taking a listen and commenting! Once familiar with the Yoshimi soundbanks, the few layering widgets, and many effects, Yoshimi really compares well with many expensive and excellent virtual instruments. Omnisphere, usually over $400, has had years of pro sound designers adding content used by countless recording studio regulars. But with Yoshimi, it only takes around 10 minutes to audition familiar sounds and effects to create a gorgeous new 6 layer multi-effected sound, or a bit longer to make an informed attempt to replicate some favorite existing commercial preset. While Omnisphere may have benefit of some sample based waveforms, one can add a DecentSampler instrument, and then add more effects with Rakarrack.
I listened to this 50 top Omnishere presets-no-talking video,
https://youtu.be/1KEvOmHaJVw
and while they are nice, and are just one persons choices among thousands, I doubt these type of sounds couldn't be done with a trio of Yoshimi, DecentSampler, and Rakarrack.
Cheers
