Noise cancelling headphones in urban areas with high traffic might not be a good idea after all he thinks seconds before being hit by the speeding ambulance. Luckily thanks to the air purifying quality he never smelled the exhaust as the vehicle passed over him.

/real/ noise cancelling headphones in populated areas would be a great idea, as far as it actually cancels the noise in keeping it totally inside the ears of their users.

Seems useful for a studio full of smelly farting musicians.
