Hi LinuxMusicians and those who love them! I notice that every time I reboot the PC and load QjackCtl with a Patchbay definition, Graph is definitely a mess and I have to rearrange everything to make it pretty again. Is this expected behavior?
QjackCtl -- is the Graph always going to open as a mess?

Does it help when you check View->Repel Overlapping Nodes in the graph view?

Repel invaders! Nope, this version (5.15.3) of QjackCtl's Graph > View has no "Repel" anything. Thank you for the suggestion!

Still, in my experience, even though most elements of the graph hold their appointed positions, there are a few motile elements refusing to stay put.
Edit, well what do you know: Trying to make a few screenshots catching them in the act, now they're suddenly behaving nicely.

I prefer old 'Connections' window. It opens from right mouse button menu, and in Settings -> Misc you can unselect 'Replace Connections with Graph button' if you like Connections more.

I steadfastly deny that I have a "Repel" option.
If that image doesn't show (and it doesn't in Preview) then here's the link: https://imgur.com/Xtc5M2z
Also -- a followup question? How to get an image to show in a post?
Thank you!

Personally I much prefer the 'legacy' mode where it's straight lines in a list.
Bottom line in 'Misc'
I disable "Replace Connections with Graph button"

Thank you!
You have reported the Qt version, not the Qjackctl version. Here I have Qjackctl 0.9.11 and it has the Repel option. To get the latest, add the rncbc repo and update/install, or just download it from there and install (but then you won't get updates).
Version: 0.9.11
Using: Qt 5.15.2
To post images, you need to post the image link in an "[img]" tag. The link you posted is to the webpage containing the image, not the actual image link. You can get the image link by right-clicking on it and select "Copy Image Link" or something.

Re: QjackCtl -- is the Graph always going to open as a mess?
Indeed, there's no denying that you don't have that "Repel" button. I have ver. 0.9.11 of Qjackctl, which version do you have? The developer of this software is active on this forum so we might ask him if we know the version number. In an extreme case a version newer than the one that I have might omit said option, I don't think so but one never knows...
