Retvrning

Post by pattmayne »

Hey. After a few years of producing on Windows I'm jumping back into Linux audio production. I'll be rigging up an x380 yoga to make electronic music, probably in Arch, with either Reaper or BitWig.

I don't know the state of linux audio today so I've got some research and catching up to do.

Welcome back.

If you have enough from Windows and its „Register yourself! Register me! Activate me! License me! Promise me your first son's soul!“ ecosystem then why not finding out if Open Source will give you everything you need?

I am sure that you can do electronic music perfectly with Qtractor and free instrument and effect plugins.

@artix_linux_user Thanks for the info. What makes LMMS and Bitwig good for making drum tracks?
