Onefang's method of crashing MusE

Post by Impostor »

I just found out what provokes Onefang's crash with loading his files given here:

viewtopic.php?p=156085#p156085

I could reproduce it by creating two projects:

Project 1 with a single midi track, a single midi part, saved while the piano roll was open.

Project 2 empty but for project notes being nonempty, set to show at loading.

Close MusE, delete ../projects file, open MusE, open Project 1, open Project 2: Crash.

It seems:

  1. If the piano roll is minimized but not closed in your current project, MusE crashes when loading another project with open windows, be it project notes or plugin GUIs.
  2. If the piano roll is open in your current project, MusE crashes when opening any other project.

Thanks for doing the leg work and tracking this down.

I prefer to be known as a figment of the 'nets imagination, living in the future, waiting for the rest of you to catch up.
