As far I know LMMS didn't support vst3 plugin standard, so to use guitarix.vst in there you must wrap it around, for example with carla.

Guitarix.vst3 you can get from here:
https://github.com/brummer10/guitarix.vst

you cant fetch the free source code and build it yourself, or fetch the prebuild binary package and just copy it over to ~/.vst3
