My father disliked the electronic sound of the drums (and probably the rest too) in "a short intro to oblivion". I wonder if he likes this better :)

Made with MusE, Hydrogen (GM Rock kit), Pianoteq, Zebralette, Dexed. Enjoy!
Edit: There's some roadwork currently going on on Coconut Street. Watch your step for the time being!
Update: Okay, main work is done. May still be some debris left though...
I've been through edit hell with this drumtrack. I had 6/4, 2/4, 4/4, and 8/4 patterns all mixed up. Thing is, you then have to be very careful with inserting and deleting bars (they are all the same block size in the hydrogen arranger: no way to see the actual size of them there ). Completely fucks up the synchronization with the song parts in MusE.. Spent most of the day getting the last 60 seconds or so synchronized the right way.

Interesting music! Not very dark, but gothic. Drum track so progressive
I was reminded of images from the book - "Lovecraft: The Shadow Over Innsmouth"

Sounds really good, I like the dark undercurrent to it and sparse but fidgety drums, they sound fantastic.

Great atmosphere, mysterious... The contrast between the keys and the punch of the drums sounds superb. To me it felt like something for the soundtrack of a movie, maybe a futuristic one, or a slasher... Great job...

@psyocean:
That's a wonderful association you make: I have multiple collections by Lovecraft on the bookshelves, and I take that as a great compliment!
@sysrqer, @Nachei:
I'm glad you liked it!
Very cool that you all like the drums so much. It took me quite some effort and frustration to get them how I wanted them. Glad it payed off..
