energyXT 64bit!! It's back baby! Windows only

Post by GMaq »

Hi,

My all time fave MIDI sequencer energyXT is now back in development and there are betas for free download, The Windows version works just fine on Linux with Wine-Staging and WineASIO (note Wine 8.2+ breaks WineASIO). It looks like Linux builds have been abandoned sadly but I have a great energyXT native Linux 2.7 with yabridge setup I still use.. I wish Ardour inline MIDI was half this good...

Hi *further note..

In using this new beta on both Linux via WineASIO and in Windows 10, there is certainly a big difference, it's pretty flaky with WineASIO to be honest and I probably wouldn't recommend using it on Linux at the current time anyway, it is shaping up very nicely on Windows though...

Further further note...

Actually with Wine set up using a Virtual Desktop the stability of EXT64 is much better, actually quite usable in this state..
