No sound on Zrythm (flatpak or regular version) with Pipewire (Debian Linux)

Post by dasen »

Hi everyone, I'm hoping anyone can help me with an issue that happens with the most recent version of Zrythm (both flatpak and regular versions).

I have Pipewire in my system which exposes Jack to Zrythm (in fact I believe that's the only way for the flatpak version to access Jack). However I get no sound, in fact, I can't even start playing the song I'm currently composing. If I choose PulseAudio as back-end I can playback, but I lose the flexibility of Jack to connect keyboards, etc...

Furthermore, the non-flatpak version of Zrythm doesn't playback sound when Jack is selected as Audio back-end either.

Other applications using pipewire or jack work fine, such as lmms, ardour, qjacktcl, qsynth, etc.

Any suggestions/tips/help much appreciated!

Got an updated flatpak. IT NOW WORKS!!!!!

Edit - After a crash of Zrythm, the problem resurfaced...
Edit 2 - The developer fixed the issue!
