The first album of this trio was recorded and mixed on Debian GNU/Linux with Ardour 7.
Only FLOSS plugins were used, here is an exhaustive list:
- LSP (parametric eqs, dynamic processor, multiband compressor, impulse reverb)
- Dragonfly (plate, hall)
- AirWindows (reverb, air, basskit, wider, vibrato, fathomfive, chorus ensemble)
- C* (saturator, chorus)
- Guitarix lv2 (amplifier, zita reverb, chorus, tremolo, tubescreamer, detune, big muff, multiband distorsion, used in parallel of re-amped takes)
- Calf (bass enhancer, transcient designer, saturator, vintage delay, tape simulator)
- Steve Harris' (am pitchshifter, artificial latency)
- ZynAddSubFx (on track 4)
- Noise-repellent (on track 2)
- x42-Autotune (on track 1)
(The mastering was made by someone else under Reaper with some hardware processors which I don't know about the specifics.)
Listen / download on bandcamp
There's also a live(ish) video made after the last track, edited with kdenlive:

The actual recording of the album took place on December 5th to 7th in the same room as in the video, but with more isolation panels and no guitar amp. Guitar takes were re-amped on December 8th and the video was shot on December 9th.
If you wish to hear more from this little collective from Le Mans (France), check out our previous releases (only this one was made with Ardour though): https://collectif3h10.bandcamp.com/

Listening now: good stuff! The trumpet occupies the center stage a bit too often though, i.m.o. (or I just don't really like the sound of trumpets).
Favorite so far: Un matin de pĂȘche.

Really nice! I'm unfamiliar with jazz, but I enjoyed the album. Very good mixing and dynamics.

Hi @jean-emmanuel , this is a stunning album. I hope you will take it as the great comliment I intend it to be: I don't hear where and how you exactkly used those plugins, well Guitarix maybe.
These songs create beautiful, acoustic, unique little worlds with a production to intensify what was already there, the production completely subservient to the music to a fantastic result. I enjoyed listening to this album a lot!
Best wishes to you and the band,
Jeanette

Very nicely produced sound and playing! Glad to see professional efforts like this, too. Also, the music is nice, which is the most important thing

Had a fairly quick listen (playing catch-up with lots of stuff). Nicely done, but also think the trumpet is being somewhat a prima donna.

Hi, Wise Wide and Fonderie are my favorites. Nice to hear a skilled solo trumpet these days, instead of solo if not AI ego's, if you know what I mean. I also think the trio's skills would lend themselves to a wide wide variety of cover-versions of pop 'hits', and movie themes, that would be very popular, although maybe anathema to dedicated jazz professionals.
Lots of nice touches and audio imagery throughout, and not an easy project! On Lalala, I didn't like the muted trumpet, it seemed foreign to the underlying music, (which I like) almost mocking. I think the other trumpet tones would have worked better in this one case.
Cheers

Thank you for your feedback ! We're not opposed to the idea of playing cover songs (some of these hits might could be seen as jazz standards in a way), I think it's just incredibly hard to do right
. Someday maybe...

The song has a serious Beatles vibe to it or that psychedelic almost kind of jazz sensation it gives me. I personally thought it was a cool track!
