Interesting electronic track! Beautiful harmony of sounds!
Thank you @psyocean @Tenaba! The newest gizmo, SmplTrek, made it possible to also incorporate the voice samples I recorded into the live take, triggered by a midi sequencer.
Hey hey @ambicumer , thanks for sharing. I suppose I shouldn't make a point of it here: but I like to hear DAWless. Maybe, I'm acclimatised t much to strange and disturbing music, but I didn't find this piece disturbing. Intriguing though. Good arrangement and mix of instruments.
I'd love to know what you used in this song.
Tnx @jeanette_c , always good to hear from you Here’s the list - main theme is Yamaha TX81z, acid bass a 303 clone (x0xb0x), drums are 606, 909 and 808 clones, arp synth 101 clone, all analog clones. A small portion of drums came from PO-33. The weird mid-range synth panned left comes from Korg Monologue. Since my Prologue croaked at the time, I think I used ZynFusion instead for the detuned synth part. Sampled voices come from SmplTrek, Quadraverb reverb, Boss DD-3 delay. Partially sequenced on Toraiz Squid, triggered/fiddled with live, recorded from A&H MixWizard via Scarlett 8i6 to Ardour.
During the first 60 seconds I wasn't too enamoured with the sounds you use, but then it suddenly comes together full force! Well done.
Have you been listening to more Bach lately? Like it a lot! This time I also liked your use of vocal chops.
