Did anybody get an SSL AWS (948 or others) working as a DAW?

I'm trying to set it up with an Ethernet connection and QMidinet, but it doesn't communicate with Ardour.

-I have Ardour config : Mackie -> MCU or MCU pro selected
-QMidinet midi ports are connected to Ardour Mackie ports (in and out)
-IPv4 is on manual, 192.198.1.3, route 192.168.1.2, as indicated in AWS owner's manual
-QMidinet has IP 225.0.0.37, by default
Console is properly configured (DAW on Mackie HUI, MIDI through Ethernet)

I'm I missing something?

using MIDI ports is not easy because it requires an interface with many ports...

what? not everyone has an SSL in the garage?
There is on in the studio where I work. I hope I can get that nice piece of electronic working with Ardour...
