Problem connecting Casiotone CT-S300 MIDI keyboard

This is my first post, forgive me if it this not the right place 
I am struggling to connect a Casiotone CT-S300 keyboard for MIDI play and record trough USB in Manjaro 22.0 with XFCE. I have tried Audacity and Reaper but the device it is not detected. QjackCtl is installed.
The output of lsusb:

Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

Try starting from when the Casio is not connected, and run the following in a terminal:
That will begin "tailing" the dmesg output in the terminal. Leave it running, and plug the Casio into the USB slot. What output appears?

Thank you very much, I repeated this procedure until realizing the problem was a defective cable.
