JCM800PowA??? I've got all the GxPlugins and JCM800PowA ain't part of it. Where can I get it?
It was never published. @Rodney is the only one ever get a copy.
Beside that, today I've done the first tests with a Juce port of guitarix to build vst3 and LV2 plug versions. Works out nicely so far:
Dear Lord, you are awesome man! I definitely need that! hahaha, I would love to have my guitarix presets turned into an LV2 plugin. That would be fantastic.

Don't know if GxMetalHead is techically a power amp, but it's very useful and versatile when first or early in a chain.
Cheers

How are things working for you with this project (after you've had a few days to experiment and test it)? Will you be assisting with this for for the Linux version?

I'm still working on it. I've solved a couple of issues already, so, allow to load your local guitarix presets, allow to load extern LV2 plugs.
Single instance works already nicely.
Currently the most important issue which I need to solve is running multiple instances.
Some of the basics needs to be reworked in order to allow that.
I guess it wouldn't make it out this year.

Even if it's not out this year, it's still progress! I'm grateful for it! Will you be forking the code from https://github.com/maximalexanian/guitarix-vst , pulling the code back into your own github, or keeping it with https://github.com/maximalexanian/guitarix-vst? I'd be interested in following the project progress.

Re: Poweramps available in Linux
What I do is pushing all needed changes to guitarix github repository, so that this could be used as a submodule in a other project in order to build a plugin from it.
maxim used a older version of guitarix for his work (0.38.1) and I forward this work now to the development branch. When that is done and work releasable I'll decide the next step.
But, yes, I'm in contact with maxim and musiclab about it. Goal is to get a cross platform plug out of guitarix.

Re: Poweramps available in Linux
And now I've setup the build environment so that a simple make will be enough to get it running. Requires surly that juce-modules been installed on the system. So we coming close.

Re: Poweramps available in Linux
Happy New year everybody! I'm going to have to try this in the morning because I figured it's only a Ubuntu thing because I installed from the zip files and it will not run an Arch!!

Re: Poweramps available in Linux
I've created a new set of amp parts here: https://github.com/brummer10/ModularAmpToolKit.lv2
there is as a PowerAmpTubes module included, which provide several different bare bone Power Amp stacks.
