Here's an instrumental rock song with a very "bubbly" first riff, one of those riffs composed more by the hand than the head... The inspiration for the title came, I think, from the second riff, that has a "stomping" quality that made me think of Bigfoot. A theme that came in handy later when the time came to make the video...

Song made with Reaper, Drumgizmo, Rakarrack.

Video made with Kdenlive, Le Biniou, Gimp, MtPaint.

Le Biniou has been particularly useful here for one of my eternal big problems with design: the choice of colours... With so much stuff happening you always come across some happy accidents. This is the second time that I use it for a video, and it was a painful reminder that: if you do something but don't document it properly... it's as if you hadn't done it. I had to relearn a lot of stuff, and hopefully this time I've made my documentation future proof...

Unfortunately, for some mysterious reason, Le Biniou worked great, but when I did the screen recording, the resulting video always came out jerky/frozen at some points (it shows sometimes in the video), and I don't know why. I've banged my head against this problem for a long time, tried 5 or 6 screen recorders, tweaked options... nothing seems to work, and the Internet keeps silence. I'm hoping it's not a hardware problem (but if it was a hardware problem, I'm guessing, it would affect Le Biniou too, so then...?) :?

Sounds good! I like your drumtrack specifically: sounds like a real drummer (to my non-drummer ears at least)!

Do you make a video with every track you record?

Hey, thank you for listening! The drums are the power of Drumgizmo... I always like to say that with Drumgizmo you have "high school band level assured"... You just play the midi with the default parameters, and it already sounds like something recorded in a rehearsal space...

I don't do videos for everything... I'm currently taking songs from a big stash of half-baked material and doing a video now and then... I've found that making videos I get some minimal attention, while when I published audio alone it was only for the crickets...
