Maudio Studio Delta 66
Hello,
I am kind of at a dead end, I have read a lot of the posts and have tried a lot of things, but nothing seems to be working for my case.
I have MAudio studio, with a delta66 installed in a new installation of ubuntu 9.10. Now I have installed envy 24 control and I get sound from the microphone. The problem is I do not get any playback sound, like if I play an mp3 file in amarok or youtube in firefox I get nothing. I have messed around with the envy24 controls, but no luck.
Not sure what other information at this point, so if you need details, ask away.
Thanks for any help before hand.

Re: Maudio Studio Delta 66
I have a Delta44. I had a similar problem. In my case the default output volume was set to zero. I started the 'alsmixer' and set the output volumes to something normal.
Good luck
Good luck
Re: Maudio Studio Delta 66
The Alsa mixer? I thought that the envy24 would be controlling the volume of my outputs? I am a newb at this so please bear with me. Am I wrong on this assumption?
Anyhow, I started the alsa console in a shell and messed around with the different levels there, but no luck either.
btw, what I meant to say on my first posting was:
"Not sure what other information I can provide at this point, so if you need details, ask away."

Re: Maudio Studio Delta 66
Sorry, but that was my case. Envy - full / alsamixer - 0 => No sound. I turned up alsamixer and the problem was solved.
Maybe anyone else can help?
Maybe anyone else can help?
Re: Maudio Studio Delta 66
Thanks,
but unfortunately that was not the case with me. I was messing around with the Alsa mixer controls some more and I noticed that when I move some of the controls around, they corresponded to some controls in the envy mixer. So I think it is safe to asume that both mixers do the same function, but with envy being specifically tailored for the delta cards.
Can somebody please shed some light on what else could be wrong??
Thanks all,

Re: Maudio Studio Delta 66
Oh yes, thanks AutoStatic,
I forgot the PulseAudio problem. I had the same im 9.10.
Maybe this can help:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... omments/30
I had to add two lines in the /usr/share/alsa/cards/ICE1712.conf
good luck.

Re: Maudio Studio Delta 66
Thanks guys, but still nothing
I tried doing the suggestions in this post as well:
http://www.linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=825
I edited /usr/share/alsa/cards/ICE1712.conf
and the two lines below were already included at the end of the configuration, so I change the 12 to 10, restarted, but nothing, not even the signal lights come on.
Is there any documentation about the Envy24 mixer or this whole alsa server and all the pieces that make this thing work? I also read in the MAudio forums, I believe, that it is better to use OSS drivers?

Re: Maudio Studio Delta 66
ooops. Sorry
To be honest when I've ever tried any variant of 9.10 I've ended up pulling my hair out, mint 8 the same.
If you want to go back to Jaunty there appears to be a fix here that someone had success with?

Ubuntustudio and M-Audio Delta 66
Apologies.
