we can use this thread to collect articles about free/libre and open source (FLOSS) music-making programs in the mainstream press (including, of course, websites). Some rules to make this thread useful (for example, as a source to Wikipedia entries):
- The point of this thread is to see how popular FLOSS music programs are getting outside our niche.
- Articles about FLOSS audio programs not strictly related to music-making (e.g. VLC) are not allowed. Programs that are on the fence (like Pipewire or JACK) are allowed as long as the article refers to music-making.
- If you want to share an article from a printed magazine, please do so only with the author's permission, otherwise just refer to the magazine/newspaper issue number.
- Websites related to FLOSS music are not allowed, but generalist FLOSS websites like opensource.com are allowed.
- Avoid personal blogs unless the author is a professional from the music industry or academia.
- Academic/scientific publications are allowed. Please cite them using APA style.
