At first it sounded like a car commercial and then it got better then it got even better and then it ended. It was pretty much one of the best songs I've ever heard.

@SR, thanks, ok, I'm on the right track. The Vocoder part was just a test, I don't think I will use it in the final edit.
@MattKingUSA, your description is a bit cryptic, to me it seems like you went through a really hefty minute and that you were glad it was over :D

No, it was pleasant, it was like a ford commercial or Gieco or something and then it went into like this The Boy Least Likely To type sound. It was fantastic.

Sounds nice! Sorry to be technical, but what did you use to make this?

Hello Louigi,

Thanks! This is what I've used:
Beats: Hydrogen with 909 kick and maracas, GSCW2 rim, kick and hihats
Synth: PHASEX
Sampler: Qsynth with Melloflute SoundFont
Vocals: me + VocProc + Yoshimi (Trash Guitar 1 preset)
Recordings/MIDI: Qtractor

But it's far from being finished. My girlfriend needs to sing some parts, the song doesn't have a chorus yet and I want to add some eBow parts. And a bassline. But I don't have a bass (yet). I'm opting for either a Squier Classic Vibe or an OLP Stingray.

I liked it. The only thing I would change (if possible?) is the flute sound and make it deeper so it has some resonance. Is that possible?

Incidentally I had the same comments about my stuff too. I go way too top end and forget the middle ground. I just get too carried away I guess?

Yeah ! I like this very much! Yeah yeah! Also I agree that the flute needs something. Effects or randomness. Maybe delay? Also the hihat or whatever maracass needs something. I like this very very much. I hope u could do vocals for my songs if I ever finish something ;)

Thanks guys! First I have to finish the overall song then I can work on the details. As soon as I have more I'll post it!

I like this snippet. Voice with music just fits here imo. The only thing, the cymbals... I don't like the sound very much (is it to short, bad quality?), it started to getting a little annoying when the song continues. I would like to hear it without that sound...
But nice one!

Hi studio32, those are not cymbals but an open hi-hat that closes again. I completely agree that I have to do something about that. But programming rock/pop drums is not my specialty, I think it's harder than programming dance/house/electro stuff. But I ordered a Korg nanoPAD, maybe that helps.
