Hi,
can someone recommend me a footswitch for looping with luppp? I've made first experiments, but it's quite hard to hit a number on a keyboard while playing guitar ...

I'd like to be able to press, for instance, switches to start/stop recording on channel 1 - 2 - 3 - 4, and maybe also the possibility to change scenes.

This is probably overkill, but one old versatile favorite (depending on fw and editor versions) is the Behringer FCB1010.

Alternatively you could hack something together from pedal switches and an old USB keyboard but that's more of a project for people with time on their hands.

I had also thought about the Behringer, but didn't quite know if it goes well with Luppp. I could also use that together with Guitarix.

I use an Akai MPC40MK2 which also has a sustain pedal socket, so I've mapped that to record using a special feature called "special". There is an almost complete midimap for it in the source repo on GitHub. But basically, midi keyboard that has a sustain switch socket can use a universal sustain footswitch (I have a Nektar and an MAudio) which cost around $20 bucks. Then you just have to map it to "special" which will trigger record in the active slot.

Then on your midi keyboard, you can map keys to make particular slots the "special" slot (I use shift plus the appropriate slot button on the MPC40MK2)

I think that a better solution is to get a USB pedal, and then just program it to send LUPP the keyboard shortcut you're currently using to control LUPP. You can get a 3 pedal unit cheaper than you'd pay for a single MIDI pedal, and therefore have very easy access to 3 different functions. A listing of a USB pedals for sale is here:
