Well, What is your opinion about session managers? I think that Raysession and Agordejo are the most promising, but they have differences and similarities. What is your experience? and What is your recommendation?

They are both good.
I'm using RaySession more nowadays since it introduced an handy patchbay view in the latest versions and has some other cool features like session scripts .
With Qjackctl I run RaySession automatically every time I start JACK, in this way I have just to select the session I want and applications/connections will set up, no more clicking around.

Because I am opinionated on this topic I will not answer directly, but I am here if any questions come up.

@LAM What about the NSM (new session ...) standard? I think Raysession runs its proper demon and implementation.

Could you elaborate more on this? Do you have some examples/sources?

It is the other way around.
Agordejo is "just" a GUI frontend that talks to an NSM server/daemon. Agordejo starts that server itself, but it is nevertheless a separate program.
Raysession does not use the NSM server but has a similar protocol, but not 100% compatible. Compatible enough that NSM clients, normal music programs, can register with RaySession and won't know the difference.

That is true. RS runs its own daemon. The communication with NSM clients is very similar, differences can exist in file paths and jack client names, and it optionally could ask them to show their GUI at startup (for clients capable of). RS can also manage in the session non NSM clients (it is obviously highly better if clients use NSM).

Needing an RS animation!
I use Agordejo but would suggest that folk try both, see what feels comfortable.
