It's all going to look pretty much the same to the public.
If your music holds their attention, it's not likely anyone
who matters, will be offended. Laptops on stage are more common
than musicians actually good at using them :wink:
Creativity and skillz will enhance whatever gear you choose!

Oh, I don't care about what the crowd might think, I am just thinking about what it would feel like to work with. It's all about the workflow. Of course software sounds fine, but the workflow isn't the same.

Sort of like doing live mixing with faders on a screen and a mouse, or actually moving faders with your fingers.

Maybe Hydrogen and an Akai Midimix is what you need?
