Audient ID4 MKII compatibility?

Hi all,
I'm currently working with a Scarlett 2i2, using it mainly for guitar, but thinking of upgrading sometime soon to a better interface with improved A/D conversion and instrument preamp. I've read great things about the Audient ID4 MK II, and some say it works out of the box on Linux systems, but some have reported problems of various kinds. Any Audient ID4 users in here who could discuss their experiences? Just trying to get a general sense before potentially dropping $200 on it.
