Hi Everyone

Hi there! I'm a software dev and hobbyist musician from the UK. Recently switched to Ubuntu Studio after setting up an old PC as a dedicated studio computer. Most of my experience was on a Macbook Pro with Logic, Ableton and Renoise so switching up has been a learning experience!
Some good first impressions:
* JACK is cool, being able to control all the routing from one place feels liberating
* Ubuntu Studio feels mature and took very little tweaking to get my interface, MIDI keyboard and USB MIDI synth working
* Ardour seems very powerful (if a little clunky to use for a beginner)
Some pain points:
* A few fundamental things still aren't working for me (GPU fans aren't spinning, I can't get Hexter's UI to appear)
* No Ableton
I'm looking forward to learning more about this Linux music production world
